Remove class and ID’s from Custom Menus

Don’t you hate that when you use Custom Menus it adds a bunch of classes that you don’t use? Well, here’s a snippet to remove them, while maintaining the only useful class, ‘current-menu-item’.

Add this to your functions.php and you’re good to go!

Code Snippet:

<?php
add_filter('nav_menu_css_class', 'my_css_attributes_filter', 100, 1);
add_filter('nav_menu_item_id', 'my_css_attributes_filter', 100, 1);
add_filter('page_css_class', 'my_css_attributes_filter', 100, 1);
function my_css_attributes_filter($var) {
	return is_array($var) ? array_intersect($var, array('current-menu-item')) : '';
}
?>
